Arizona Gym Floors LLC has been installing and caring for sports floors in the Southwest since 1997. Owner Floyd Shelton, a leader in the sports floor industry for over 50 years, previously owned Superior Floor Company, Wausau, Wisconsin, ( a major manufacturer of MFMA maple gym floors) under the name SUPERIOR FLOOR COMPANY, INC. and now continues his passion for the industry with Arizona Gym Floors. Floyd is past president of the Maple Flooring Manufacturer’s Association and served as chairman of its Technical Committee for over 17 years. Floyd’s son, Ryan, worked side by side with his father throughout his childhood and became very knowledgeable in the mechanics of a gym floor system. From summers spent at the mill to building test floors in the warehouse, Ryan learned from the best in the industry and continues in his father’s footsteps. Ryan is certified with the Maple Flooring Manufacturer’s Association and Aacer flooring and actively participates in as many clinics and seminars the gym flooring industry can offer.
